Over the last several years, school and community leaders across Indiana have chosen the New Tech High national model to provide educational change and 21st Century Learning. Three Indiana New Tech High Schools opened this August, with more planned for next year.
The New Tech High Indiana Network is a unique partnership of community, higher education and business organizations that have come together to support Indiana’s current and potential New Tech High Schools.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll launch this web site to provide information, news and great opportunities to get involved with New Tech Highs across Indiana. Let us know you’re interested now, and we’ll let you know when our full site launches.

New Technology High School is a national model of project-based learning. Technology is integrated into every class and used as a tool, not taught as a subject. Launched in California over ten years ago, this successful curriculum is being used in over 30 schools to graduate students who master 21st Century knowledge and skills.

Napa's New Technology High School is the school where it all started.
In an increasingly competitive global economy, it’s not enough for students to master core subjects alone. There is broad agreement that our high schools students aren’t gaining the knowledge and skills they need for success in higher education and the workplace.

Moving Indiana Forward: High Standards and High Graduation Rates is a November 2006 report authored by Achieve, Inc. and Jobs for the Future.
Indiana is the first state in the U.S. to develop a statewide network to launch and support New Technology High Schools. In August, Rochester Community School Corporation, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) and the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township launched Indiana’s first three New Tech Highs.
